Newer Developments
Since the database and the web page went on line
and members began to send in licensing and ruling data, several new
developments have occurred.
-
Digital photo identification
capabilities have been added to the database. To encourage
members to adopt digital photography as a corollary to
fingerprinting in the licensing process, each member has been
provided a digital camera. These new cameras were shipped to the
members early in 1998.
-
A Uniform Licensing Form has
been developed and approved for adoption by the Board of
Directors. The form was created by a committee with input from
all member jurisdictions. This new form should soon be the basis
for uniform licensing in all member jurisdictions. It is also
possible for an applicant to complete the application
electronically and submit licensing data to multiple
jurisdictions at the same time.
-
An equine database to assist
veterinarians, steward and racing secretaries in their duties.
-
Public Ruling Page which is a
current listing of rulings from NAPRA member jurisdictions.
The association is also developing
