About us
The purpose of NAPRA is to provide a
cost-effective focal point for communications and dispersing
information relating to the pari-mutuel industry. NAPRA has
developed several objectives to assist in achieving this purpose.
 |
Established a web site through which members
can enter and retrieve licensing data. The system also allows
jurisdictions to download photographs, if they are available,
exchange electronic mail with other commissions and staff. In
addition members can participate in "chat sessions",
download NAPRA reports and documents, read and set up bulletin
boards, examine financial reports and generally "keep in
touch."
 |
Potential for this system is virtually
limitless. It exists solely for the members, who can develop it
to fit their needs now and in the future.
 |
Developed the industry’s only
multi-jurisdictional license application which allows licensees to submit one license application to
several jurisdictional simultaneously.
 | Implemented Cheeze! - An interface via
digital cameras allowing high-quality photographs to be
transferred to the national database.
 |
First national equine database, which
includes all horses eligible qualified to be treated with
Furosemide.
 |
Established a journal called the NAPRA NEWS.
The "NEWS" is published weekly, and dispersed
instantly by electronic mail. It is also published and archived
on the NAPRA web page. Those not receiving electronic mail,
receive hard copies from their executive directors. |
